Who is Cashual?
My name is Daniel Valle, I am a Certified Personal Financial Wellness Consultant (CPFWC). I started this journey because I want to help people have a more positive relationship with their finances and achieve their financial goals.
I want people to feel in control of their future and to take their finances seriously in order to be more casual about the rest of their lives.
What is Financial Coaching?
Financial coaching is a type of coaching that helps you develop financial literacy and money management skills. Instead of providing investment advice, I work with you to understand your relationship with money, set up goals and plans to achieve them, and provide you with tools to help you keep track of your progress.
Our quality of life can be so dependant of our finances that they can be a big stress inducing topic, I want to help you have a more casual relationship with your finances and feel confident that you’re building a strong financial future.
Whether you want to get your self out of debt, prepare for a large purchase or set yourself up for long term financial success, financial coaching might be just for you.
The Financial Coaching Process
Every person’s situation is unique and because of this I work with you to create a plan that fits your needs and aligns to your goals. The general framework of my process is the following:
Step 1 - Onboarding
Free consultation to address any question about the process and to get a general understanding of what you wish to get from it. If we move ahead with the coaching, you will get some pre meeting activities as part of a pre assesment.
Step 2 - Understanding The Client
After the onboarding step, we set up time to meet in person or virtually. In this step we get a better understanding of your goals, your current financial situation, how this situation is making you feel and what are the behaviors that got you here in the first place. We also collect financial informacion such as income, expenses, savings, debt, etc.
Step 3 - Diagnosis
We use the financial information collected and the context you provide to diagnose your current financial situtation using financial wellness becnhmarks. We also begin identifying the root causes that got you into this situation and discuss how we can start addressing them.
Step 4 - Goal Setting and Priorization
Once we have a diagnosis of the situation and we know the goals you’re trying to achieve in the long term, it is time to set up SMART goals and prioritize them. Then we will provide guidance on setting up action steps that address the root causes of the issues and get you closer to your goals.
Step 5 - Continuous Education, Guidance, and Support
At this point of the process you have clarity on what the pain points are, what are the behaviors that got you here, and what you need to do to form better habits.
It is at this step where we provide the tools that allow you to keep track of your progress towards this goals, provide further education and guidance to continue supporting you on your process and, if needed, redefining or reprioritizing your goals.
